Keira Knightley

Knightley was born in London and was her parents being Will Knightley and Sharman Mcdonald. Knightley was able to get her first agent at six years old and began working on commercials and television. Knightley portrayed Sabe in a minor character as a minor character in Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1998). Her breakthrough came as a tomboy football player in the sports documentary Bend It Like Beckham (2002) in which she later achieved global stardom for playing Elizabeth Swann in the swashbuckler fantasy series Pirates of the Caribbean, starting in 2003. She was a part of the love comedy Love Actually (2003) and was considered a promising young star. Knightley was awarded an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for her performance as Elizabeth Bennet in Pride & Prejudice (2005). Alongside Atonement and Pride & Prejudice, she also played in the role of Georgiana Cavendish and the main character of The Duchess and Anna Karenina's famous socialite. In the contemporary dramas she played an uninitiated music student in Begin Again (2012) and as a medical doctor for the role of a physician in Jack Ryan Shadow Recruit (2013). Knightley was back in historical movies acting as Joan Clarke in The Imitation Game (2014) which earned her an award nomination for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in the film, as well as starring as the writer named after her in Colette (2018).
