Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. Her acting career began in supporting roles in the teen-oriented films Big Fat Liar (2002, 2006) and She's the Man (2006). In the FX series Dirt in which she was Willa McPherson in the role of reporter. She was also in the supporting role on the short-lived show The Ex List. She was Kaylee as a young Moira on the opening season of on FX's American Horror Story. She was Jessie Anderson on AMC's The Walking Dead as well as Sophie on The NBC show This Is Us. She also voiced several characters from the animated comedy series of Family Guy. Since 2019she has been appearing as Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was raised in Darien, Connecticut until she was 10, when her mother and her relocated to California [1The couple lived there for a year , before setting up in Mill Valley. Breckenridge was attracted to acting, photography, and singing at age 13. When she turned 15, she moved with her mother back to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career
